The helmet must be dry, free of dust and dirt so the stencil sticks better to the surface.
Use at room temperature or above. Using a hair dryer will make it more pliable and form better to the helmet. If you are using one of the larger stencils, you must cut slots all around the stencil, and overlap the cut parts for a better fit on the helmet. When you have put the stencil in the position, press all around the edges to avoid paintcreep under the stencil.
Orginally helmets were handpainted with a brush, but if you choose to spray, don´t forget to mask of the rest of the helmet.
Some stencils have “tick” marks. Just mask the ones you will not use.
